To (all whom it may concern.-
lie it known that I, ALBERT R. PRITCHARD, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city of Rochester, in the county of Monroe and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for llandles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a front elevation of a handle, showing my design; and Fig. 2 is a side elevation thereof.
)Iydesign consists in the form and configuration and ornamentation given to the handle described herein and shown in said drawings.
In the drawings, A is the upper end piece, flared at the upper end a, as shown in Fig. l, and ending below in a bead a. From this end piece extends a horizontal rod B, having the annular beaded ornaments b at or about the middle thereof. The other end of the rod 1 extends upward and downward, the upper end thereof having the ornament b somewhat in the form of a snake-head. Opposite the end of the rod, on the thickened portion of the handle, is the oval escuteheon G. Thence thehandle extends downward in the flattened portion D, gradually narrowing toward the bottom and provided on the outer side with the heads (1. The lower end of the part D curls inward and upward and terminates in the pointed end (1'. The lower portion of the handle is the C-shaped portion E, which is connected with the portion D by the circular bead e.
The various portions of my design connect with each other in a harmonious and ornamental manner, and the whole design is attractive and shapely.
