RALPH \VILCOX BOOTH, 01? NEW BRUNSWICK, NEW JERSEY.
DESIGN FOR A VASE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,255, dated April 30, 1895.
Application filed March 27, 1895- Serial No. 543,415. T r of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, RALPH WILcoX BOOTH, a citizen of the United States, residing at New Brunswick, in the county of Middlesex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Vases; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
In the accompanying drawing the figure represents a side elevation of a vase embodying my design.
The leading feature of my design consists in the ornamental configuration or shape given to the top of the vase, whereby a very pleasing effect is presented to the eye.
In the said drawing the reference numeral 1, designates the base of the vase, which is of the ornamental shape shown in the drawing and 2, the body of the vase which is also ornamented as shown.
The numeral 3, designates the ornamental top of the vase, comprising the circular or cylindrical portions 4, at the junction with the body, the circular beads or rims 5, above the same and the cylindrical portion 6, all of which are formed with ornamental designs. Starting from one side of the part 6,isa curved and tapering spent 7, suitably ornamented and havingits edges turned over. At the opposite side of this spout is a curved portion 8, terminating in a scroll 9, and connecting with this an ornamental scroll 10, from which starts the curved portion 12, of the handle. This curved portion branches off or is bifurcated at its lower end forming two ornamental branches 13, and 14, one of which extends downwardly to the body of the vase while the other extends inwardly to the part 6. This handle is suitablyornamented and in connection with the top presents a neat and attrac tive appearance to the eye.
What I claim is- The design for a vase herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
RALPH W'ILCOX BOOTH. Witnesses:
