DESIGN FOR A VASE.
SPECIFICATION formingparl: of Design No. 24,253, dated April 30, 1895.
Application filed March 27, 1895. Serial N0. 543,413. Term ofpatent 316 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that l, RALPH WILCOX BOOTH, a. citizen of the United States, residing at New Brunswick, in the county of Middlesex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Vases; andldo hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a. part thereof.
In the accompanying drawing the figure represents an elevation of a vase embodying my design.
The leading feature of my design consists in the ornamental configuration or shape given to the top and handle of the vase so that it will present a neat and attractive appearance to the eye.
In the said drawing the reference numeral 1, designates the base, and 2, the body of the vase which is of the design shown.
The numeral 3, designates the top or neck which is of the ornamental shape shown, and
starting therefrom is an u pwerdly extending curved and ornamented spout 4. At the opposite side said top is formed with an ornamental curved upwardly extending portion 5, with which is connected an ornamental scroll 6, the end of which is formed with an ornamental rosette 7, and two ornamental arms 8. This scroll extends downwardly and near its lower end is connected with the neck, from whence it curves downwardly over the upper portion of the vase body. The handle thus formed is suitably ornamented throughout its length as shown.
