UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
FRANCIS GILBERT HILL, OF COLUMBUS, INDIANA.
DESIGN FOR A TOILET-STAND.
Application led November 18, 1911.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRANCIS Gr. HILL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Columbus, in the county of Bartholomew and State of Indiana, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Toilet-Stand, of which the following is a specication.
Reference is had to the accompanying drawing, in which:
The figure is a perspective view of a toilet stand, showing my ornamental design.
As shown in the drawing, the leading feature of the design resides in a toilet stand having an ornamental back consisting of a lower relatively large portion l and a relatively small upper portion 2, projecting upward centrally from the lower portion and having its side edges spaced a considerable distance from the side edges of the lower portion. The lower portion, which has rounded side edges 3, has a general downward taper and is provided at the base with ornamental recesses 4, forming concave side edges. The upper edge 5 of the lower portion of the back is straight and projects horizontally from straight side edges of the narrow upper portion 2 of the back. The upper portion 2, which is ap- Specication for Design.
Patented Feb. 20, 1912.
Serial No. 661,176. Term of patent 14 years.
proximately rectangular, is provided with an ornamental top 6 having projecting terminals 7, extending beyond the straight side edges of the upper portion 2. The upper edge of the top 6 has a central rounded or convexly curved portion 8, and is provided at the terminals thereof with upwardly extending triangular projections 9, and is concavely curved at 10 from the projections to the ends of the ornamental top 6. The projecting terminal portions of the ornamental top have approximately circular portions 1l. Projecting from the lower relatively large portion of the back is an ornamental shelf l2 consisting of a relatively narrow intermediate portion and enlarged end portions 13, having front projecting portions of approximately semi-circular shape provided with scalloped edges 14.
I claim The ornamental design for a toilet stand, as herein shown and described.
In testimony, that I claim the foregoing as my own, I have hereto affixed my signa` ture in the presence of two witnesses.
FRANCIS GILBERT HILL.
