ALBERT PATITZ, OF MERIDEN, CONNECTICUT, ASSIGNOR TO THE BRADLEY 85 HUBBARD MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A BASE FOR LAMP-FOUNTS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,135, dated March 19, 1895.
Application filed February 18,1895. Serial No. 538.903- Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALBERT PATITZ, of Heriden, in the countyof New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for 5 a Base for Lamp-Fonnts, (Case D;) and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the 1 0' same, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent, in-

Thisiuveution relates to a design for a base fora larnp-fonnt, and the design consists in the configuration and ornamentation as shown in the accompanying illustrations.
In general outline the baseis circular, curving gradually upward and inward, having four legs A, terminating in upwardly turned scrollfeet B. The surface of the legs is ornamented by floriated sprays C, springing from downwardly depending scrolls D, and meeting at the center side as at E. lhese sprays inclose a plain circular medallion F, surrounded by a ribbed scroll G. Above these medallions and meeting sprays is a circular rib ll, from which springs a circular series of outwardly projecting scallops, above which 0 rises a circular hand J, contracting toward the upper edge of the base, and ornamented by alternating plain medallions K, sur rounded by a flat border L, and overlapping inverse scroll ornaments M, all as shown in the accompanying illustrations.
I claim The design for a lamp-fount base as herein described and shown in the accompanying illustrations.
