UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JAMES PINKERMAN, OF COLUMBUS, OHIO.
DESIGN FOR A HOOF-HOOK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,866, dated August 4, 1896.
Application filed June 18, 1896. Serial No.596,085, Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, JAMES PINKERMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at C0- lumbus, in the county of Franklin and State of Ohio, have invented or produced a new and original Design for Hoof-Hooks, of which the following is a specification.
This design has for its object to provide a novel, handsome, and attractive hoof-hook which presents a characteristic, distinguishing, and ornamental appearance.
The leading feature of the design is a hoofhook having oppositely-projecting arms and a central handle portion provided with a curved outer end and converging sidemembers, which join the oppositely-projecting arms.
The design is illustrated by the accompanying drawing, in which the figure is a perspective view of my new and original hoof-hook.
In the accompanying drawing, the numerals 1 and 2 indicate the oppositely-projecting arms, 3 the circular outer end of the handle portions, and 4=and 5 the side members, which converge from the circular portion 3 and join the oppositely-extending arms 1 and 2. The space bounded by the circular portion 3 and side members a and 5 is approximately pear shape. The arm 1 is gradually widened out toward its outer extremity to form the straight edge 6, while the arm 2 is tapered to its outer extremity to provide the point 7. The side members at and 5 join the arms 1 and 2 by a flattened solid portion 8. The circular outer end portion 3 of the handle is provided with a flat central extension 9.
The form, shape, or configuration provides a hoof-hook which is ornamental and attractive and presents a characteristic and distinguishing appearance.
\Vhat I claim is- The design for a hoof-hook, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in presence of two subscribing witnesses.
J AMES PINKERMAN. Witnesses:
