DESIGN FOR A COVERED DISH.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,423, dated April 3, 1900.
Application filed January 8,1900. Serial No. 790 Term of patent 7 years.
To ail whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, CHARLES J'. AnaEN- FELD T, a citizen of the lfnited States, residing in the city of New York, county of New York, and State of New York, have invented and prod need a new and original Design for a Covered Dish, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part hereof, and like letters referring to like parts in each figu re of the same.
In the said drawings, Figure l is a side view of a covered dish, showing my design. Fig. 2 is a top view of the same.
The body A of the dish is provided with four pairs of vertical grooves or indentations A, running from the curved base A to the upper edge and connected by a transverse ridge A The cover B is also provided with like grooves B, extending on radial lines from the center and diverging to meet the grooves A at the edge thereof. They are connected by transverse grooves 11 Between the grooves of each pair and near the top of the dish is sharp-shaped ornament, with leaves A projecting therefrom, while below it is a bell-shaped floral ornament with pendent tondrils The same two ornaments 13 B reversed, are displayed between the radial grooves l l of the cover. lletween the grooves at the base of the dish is the scroll-like ornament A and between the two pairs of grooves on either side of the dish the ornament A which consists of a lioral figure with scrollsat either side.
The ornament A is located near the upper edge of the dish and on the outerside of each groove. Like ornamcn ts ll are si milarly situ ated near the outer edge of the cover.
The curved handle of the cover C at the top and center thereof is provided with volute scroll ornaments O, as is also the cover at the part C where the handle is joined to it.
The curved handles l) of the dish at either end are provided with scroll ornaments D, similar to the ornaments O of the coveehandle, and a like ornament D proceeds from the point where each end of the handle is joined to the dish along the side thereof.
What I claim is- The design for a covered dish substantially as herein shown and described.
