DESIGN FOR A CLASP MEMBER.
SPECIFICATION forming part or Design 1%. 30,948, dated June 6, 1899.
Application filed April 26, 1899. Serial No. 714,504. Term nipatent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that we, CAROLINE L. LEWIS and CHARLES E. MIXER, of Boston, in the county of Suffolk and State of Massachusetts, have invented a certain new and original Design for a Clasp Member, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a design for the members of fasteners or clasps; and the essential feature of the design consists in the novel shape and configuration hereinafter fully described and claimed, and clearly illustrated upon the drawings.
Figure 1 represents a longitudinal section through the member of a clasp or fastener embodying our design. Fig. 2 represents a plan View of the same.
Referring to the drawings, a indicates the lower part or limb, and b the upper part or limb thereof. The two parts or limbs are joined bya tubular end portion a and lie substantially parallel. The upper limb at Z) is inclined outwardly from the limb a and has an end I), which lies in a plane intersecting the limb a, the space between the portion 1) I) and the limb to being triangular.
In general appearance the clasp member resembles a triangle and a circle joined by a bridge.
We claim The design foraelasp membersubstantially as shown and described.
