Description

UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
FREDERICK G. DODSHON, OF HAMILTON, OHIO.
DESIGN FOR A COAT-PATTERN.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design N0. 33,492, dated October 30, 1900.
Application filed September 14, 1900- Serial No. 30,077. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it raw/y concern/.-
Be it known that I, FREDERICK G. DoDsHoN, a citizen of England, and a resident of Hamilton, Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Coat-Patterns, of which the following is a specification, refernce being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
As shown in the drawing, which representsa plan view of a pattern embodying my design, the leading or material feature of the design consists of a substantially Y-shaped outline the sides of which are provided with crossarms extendingin opposite directions directly below the diverging arms of the Y. The stem A or body of the Y, which forms the back of the coat, has its side edges M slightly co'nverging toward each other at the lower edges of the cross-arms B B. The cross-arms extend laterally from the central or shoulder portions 0 C of the pattern to form the sleeves of the coat. The upper or diverging arms E and F of the Y form the front of the coat and are provided with a semicircular recess G where they are joined together to form the neckopening of the coat. The inner ends of the lower edges N of the diverging arms of the Y are separated from the upper edges I of the sleeves by the scye-openings H, and the lower edges J of the sleeves are separated from the back by the scye-opeuings D. The edges K and L upon each side of the pattern forming the scye-openings are of the same length, as are also the edges M and N and I and J, respectively, the edges I and J converging slightly toward each other at their outer ends.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a coat-pattern as herein shown and described.
