DESIGN FOR CARPET.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,053, dated September 15, 189 Application filed July 30, 1896. Serial No. 601,108. Term of patent 3i years.

To all whom, it may concern.-

Be it known that I, ANNA K. MAY, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Carpet or other Fabric, of which the following is a specification, reference being had more particularly to the accompanying drawing, illustrating the same and forming part hereof.

The leading feature of my design is alternate rows of leaf forms and flower forms.

In the drawing, a is the body, b the border, and a b the complete carpet.

c are rows of leaf forms.

(I are rows of flower forms, and these rows alternate one with the other, as shown.

6 are stems, and f are leaves.

The design of my invention may be applied to or wrought in Brussels, velvet, Wilton, ingrain, or other carpeting in any desired colors or combinations of colors.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

1. In a design fora carpet, the body a, substantially as shown.

2. In a design for a carpet, the border 11, substantially as shown.

3. The design for a carpetconsisting of the body a, and border 11, substantially as shown.
