SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,056, dated September 15, 1896.

Be it known that I, ARTHUR MIDDLETON Rose, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Yonkers, in the county of VVestchesteran d State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Carpet or other Fabric, of which the following is a specification, reference being had more particularly to the accompanying drawing, illustrating the same and forming part hereof.

The leading feature of my design consists in rococo ornaments associated with conventional flowers.

a is the body, b the border, and a b the complete carpet. Upon a suitable background appear the rococo ornaments c and the conventional flowers d.

The design of my invention will be best unflerial No. 602,455. Term of patent 3% years.

\Vhat I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

i. In a design for a carpet, the body a, substantially as shown.

2. In a design for a carpet, the border I), substantially as shown.

3. The design fora carpet consisting of the body a, and border b, substantially as shown.
