DESIGN FOR CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,025, dated February 12, 1895.
Application filed January 16, 1895. Serial No. 535,157. Term of patent 3% years.
T0 at whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ARTHUR MIDDLETON ROSE, residing at Yonkers, county of VVestchester, State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern to be Wrought into Wilton and other Oarpetings in such coloring as may be designed; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanyingthis specification gives and conveys to any one skilled in the art of carpet weavingand manufactnreaelear understanding of the same, and is suiiicient to enable such person to use my invention.
The design consists of a body A and a borderB.
The body A is decorated with flowers of the chrysanthemum appearing on a background which may be either plain or figured.
The border Bis decorated with chrysanthemum flowers, same as those of the body, but being in form of sprays or foliage, which is attached to the sub-border of scroll work, in which other flowers of same style appear.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
1. In adesign for a carpet, the bodyA, substantially as shown.
2. In a design for a carpet, the border B, substantially as shown.
3. The design for car-pets, consisting of the body A, and the border B, substantially as shown.
