DESIGN FOR CARPET.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,065, dated February 26, 1895. Application filed January 30, 1895. Serial No. 536.723. Term of patent 8% years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ARTHUR MIDDLETON ROSE, residing at Yonkers, county of lostchester, State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern to be W'rought into \Vilton and other Oarpetings in such coloring as may be designed; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification gives and conveys to any one skilled in the art of carpet Weaving and manufacture a clear understandingof the same, and is suflicient to enable such person to use my invention.

The design consists of a body A and a border B.

The body A is decorated with a series of vines and foliage in the form of scrolls, with conventionalized flowers. The border B is similarly decorated with vines, foliage and flowers of same character.

Vthat I claim as my invention, and desire to soon re by Letters Patent, is

1. In a design for a carpet, the body A, substantially as shown.

2. In a design for a carpet, the border B, substantially as shown.

The design for carpets, consisting of the body A, and the border 13, substantially as shown.
