DESIGN FDR CARPET.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,673, dated September 10, 1895. Application filed August 3, 1895. Serial No. 558,166. Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, ARTHUR MIDDLETON ROSE, residing at Yonkers, county of Westchester, State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for 3. Pattern to be Wrought into Wilton and other Carpetings, in such coloring as may be designed; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification gives and conveys to any one skilled in the art of carpet weaving and manufacture a clear understanding of the same, and is suflicient to enable such person to use my invention.

The design consists of the body A and the border B.

The body A shows a series of ornamental scrolls surrounding a conventionalized flower which appears at intervals.

The border B shows the same conventional ized flower surrounded by scrollwork of same 20 character as in body with a wavy floral band near the outer edge.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. In a design for a carpet, the body A, sub 25 stantially as shown.

2. In a design for a carpet, the border B, substantially as shown.

3. The design for'carpets, consisting of the body A, and the border B, substantially as 30 shown.
