DESlGN FOR CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,027, dated February 12, 1 895.
Application filed January 16,1895. Serial No. 535,159- Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ARTHUR MIDDLETON ROSE, residing at Yonkers, county of Westchester, State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern to be \Vrought into Wilton and other Carpetings in such coloring as may be designed; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification gives and conveys to any one skilled in the art of carpet Weaving and manufacture a clear understanding of the same, and is sufficient to enable such person to use my invention.
The design consists of a body A and a border B.
The body A is decorated with a series of vines of the climbing rose with leaves and flowers, and arranged in the form of scrolls.
The border B is decorated with similar vines, leaves and roses, the arrangement however being as that of two vines inter-twined. The inner edge of the border is also decorated with a narrow wavy scroll showing buds of roses.
That I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
1. In a. design for a carpet, the body A, substantially as shown.
2. In a design for a carpet, substantially as shown.
3. The design for carpets, consisting of the body A, and the border B, substantially as shown.
