SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,223, dated April 16, 1895.

Application filed March 18,1895. Serial No. 542,261. Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, JOHN B. NEIL, residing at New York, county of New York, State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern to be Wrought into \Vilton and other Carpetings in such coloring as may be designed; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification gives and conveys to any one skilled in the art of carpet Weaving and manufacture a clear understanding of the same, and is sufficient to enable such person to use my invention.

The design consists of a bodyA and a border B.

The body A is decorated with a series of geometric figures thickly grouped.

The border B is decorated with similar geometric figures to those of the body, but with different grouping.

hat I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. In adesign for a carpet, the body A, substantially as shown.

2. In a design for a carpet, the border B, substantially as shown.

3. The design for carpets, consisting of the body A, and the border B, substantially as shown.
