DESIGN FOR CARPET.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,021, dated February 12, 1895.

Application filed January 16, 1895. Serial No. 535,162. Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that 1, JOHN B. NEIL, residing at New York, county of New York, State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern to be \Vrought into \Vilton and other Oarpetings in such coloring as may be designed; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification gives and conveys to any one skilled in the art of carpet weaving and manufacture a clear understanding of the same, and is sufiicient to enable such person to use my invention.

The design consists of a body A and a bar derB.

The body A is decorated with a series of connected scrolls, surrounded by floral and ornamental work.

The border B has a narrow wavy inneredge, and the remainder decorated with scroll and ornamental work of same general character as the body.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

1. In a design for a carpet, the body A, substantially as shown.

2. In a design for a carpet, the border 13, substantially as shown.

3. The design for carpets, consisting of the body A, and the border B, substantially as shown.
