DESIGN FOR A CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No, 16,041, dated April 14. 1885.
Application filed February 12, 1885. Term of patent 35 years.
TO 0.55 whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, NORIC KoMoRI, a resident of New York city, in the county and State ofNew York, have invented and produced, by my own industry, genius, efi'orts,and expense, a new and original Design for a Carpet, of which the following is a full description, in connection with the accompanying photograph, which represents a face view of my new design for a carpet.
This invention relates to a new ornamentation of the face of a carpet, oil-cloth, or analogous fabric.
In the accompanying photograph are represented the various parts which enter into my new design.
A is a fan -like figure containing radial stripes and fanciful oriental lettering thereon. B is another fan-like figure containing likewise radial stripes and other fanciful letterlike central design. 0 is a third fan-like ornament with peculiar central design. Dis 9.
rich fanciful floral ornament. E is part ofa fanciful leaf; G, another fanciful leaf; II, a serrated leaf, and I a trefoil-leaf.
The upper part of the carpet has interwoven stripes J, and the lower portion has also interwoven stripes K, near which are small leaf like figures, as shown.
I claim 1. The design for acarpet, the same consisting of the figure A, substantially as shown.
2. The design for a carpet, the same consisting of the figure B, substantially as shown.
3, The design for acarpet, the same consisting of the figure O, substantially as shown.
4. The design for a carpet, the same consisting of the figures A, B, 0, D, E, G, H, I, J, and K, substantially as shown.
