DESIGN FOR CARPET.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,020, dated February 12, 1895.

Application filed January 16, 1895. Serial No. 535,161. Tenn of patent 8% years.

Beit known that I, JOHN B. NEIL, residing at New York, county of New York, State of New York, have invented and produced a new7 and original Design for a Pattern t0 be Trought into IVilton and other Uarpetings in such coloringi as may be designed; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this speciiieation gives and conveys to any one Skilled in the art of carpet weaving and manufacture a. clear understanding of the same, and is sufficient to enable such person to use my invention.

The design consists of a bodyA and a border B.

The bodyA is decorated with various scrolls and gures of the Moorish style. The border B is correspondingly decorated with figures similar to those in the body but of different size, the same being associated with a series of geometric work, all in the Moorish style.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. In a. design for a carpet, the body A, substantially as shown.

2. In a. design for a carpet, the border 13, substantially as shown.

3. The design for carpets, consisting of the body A, and the border B, substantially as shown.
