DESIGN FOR CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design N0. 25,373, dated April 7, 1896.
Application filed Mflf'Jh 6, 1896. Serial No. 582,142. Term of patent 31 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, JOHN ll. NEIL, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced anew and original Design to be VI-ought into \Vilton and other Carpeting in such Coloring as may be Designed, of which the following is a speciiieation.
This invention comprises two parts namely, the design A for a carpet-body and the design Ii for a border; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification gives and conveys to any one skilled in the art of carpet weaving and manufacture a clear understanding of same, and is sufficient to enable such person to use my invention.
The body A is decorated with groups of three leaf-shaped figures surrounded by mosswork.
The border I; shows the same figure groups in enlarged form with mosswork and smaller ornaments.
\Vhat I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
1. In a design for a carpet, the body A, substantially as shown.
2. Inadesignforacarpet,tl1ebordcr1l,snbstantially as shown.
The design for carpets, consisting of the body A and the border 13, substantially as shown.
