DESIGN FOR CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,542, dated May 19, 1896.
Application filed April 16, 1896. Serial No- 587,869. Term of patent 3i years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, CHARLES FREDERICK SEDNEY, acitizen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design to be Wrought into \Vilton and other Carpeting, in such coloring as may be designed, of which the following is a specification.
This invention comprises two partsnamely, the design A fora carpet'body and the design B for a border; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification gives and conveys to any one skilled in the art of carpet weavingand manufacture a clear understanding of same, and is sufficient to enable such person to use my invention.
The body A shows clusters and sprays of roses with scroll and ornamental work. The
borderB has similar rose clusters and sprays with scrolls and an outer edge of si milarscrollwork.
\Vhat I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- 1. In adesign for a carpet, the body A, substantially as shown.
2. In a design for a carpet, the border 15, substantially as shown.
The design for carpets, consisting of the body A and the border B, substantially as shown.
