SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,790, dated October 26, 1897. Application filed September l5, 1897. Serial No. 651,781. Term 0f patent 3i years.

To all whom, t may concern:

Be it known that I, ARTHUR MinnLEroN ROSE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Yonkers, in the county of lVestchester and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Carpet or other Fabric, oi' which the followingr is a specification, referenee being had more particularly to the accompanying drawing, illustrating the saine and forming part hereof.

The leading feature of my design is a ehintz pattern of roses and small leaves and little sprays.

In the drawing, o, is the body, I) the border, and a b the complete carpet. c are roses, d are little leaves, and e are sprays, and all are arranged in a ehintz pattern, as shown.

The design of my invention will be best understood by reference to the drawing, and

it may be expressed in any desired colors or combinations of colors and applied to velvet, lVilton, Brussels, or other carpeiing.

lVhat l claim as my invent-ion, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
