SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,052, dated September 15, 1896.

To all whom, it may concern..-

Be it known that I, ANNA K. MAY, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Carpet or other Fabric, of which the following is a specification, reference being had more particularly to the accompan yin g drawing, illustrating the same and forming part hereof.

The leading feature of my design is the scroll ornamentation substantially as shown.

In the drawing, ais the body, b the border, and a b the complete carpet.

c is the scroll ornamentation.

My design may be caused to appear in any preferred color or colors upon Brussels, in-

grain, velvet, Wilton or other carpeting as required.

\Vhat I claim as my invention, to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. In a design for a carpet, the body a, substantially as shown.

2. In a design for a carpet, the border b, substantially as shown.

3. The design for a carpet consisting of the body a, and border b, substantially as shown.
