DESIGN FOR CARPET.
SiPEGIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,617, dated August 20, 1895. Application filed July 12, 1895 Serial No. 565,766. Term of patent 3% years To aZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, AROHIBALD F. REDDIE, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Carpet or other Fabric, of which the following, taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, is a specification.
The design illustrated in the accompanying drawing may be wrought or produced in Brussels, \Vilton, velvet,or other carpeting and in such colors as may be desired.
In the drawing, a is the body, I) the border, and a b the carpet, of which, it may be remarked, there is illustrated one breadth and the portion of another breadth.
The drawing clearly shows the characteristic or distinctive appearance which, when imparted to the carpet or other fabric, constitutes my invention. However, for the sake of further description it may be stated that the leading or characteristic features of my design may be said to be the floral ornamentation c, spray d, and scrolls e, displayed upon a backgroundf, and in the drawing associated with the marginal bands 9 and it.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
