DESIGN FOR A PUZZLE BOX OR CASE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,575, dated November 1, 1898. Application filed October 6,1898. Serial No. 692,866. Term of patent 3% years.
To aZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FRANK G. STERLING, of Lynn, in the county of Essex and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Puzzle Box or Case, of which the following is a description.
The accompanying drawings are to be referred to and form a part of this specification.
0f the drawings, Figure l is a plan view of a puzzle box or case showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional View of the same, taken on the line 2 2 of Fig. 1.
The leading feature of my design consists, as shown in the drawings, of two rows of hemispherical recessess a, a, formed in the bottom b of the box, the surface of which bottom is otherwise smooth andlevel. The said bottom surface is ornamented with a line 0,
extending centrally between the said rows of recesses, and on each side of the said line the bottom is further ornamented by the represen tation of a flag, one flag contrasting in design from the other.
Having fully described and disclosed my invention, I declare that what I claim as new and of my invention and production is- The design for a puzzle box or case as herein shown and described.
