Be it known that I, NEWTON CRANE, of Newton, in the county of Middlesex and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for a Fastening Member, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for a member ot' a pair of fastening devices or clasps; and it consists in the novel features of shape and configuration hereinafter fully described and claimed and clearly illustrated upon the accompanying drawings.
Of the drawings, Figurel represents in perspective view a clasp or fastening member embodying my design. Fig. 2 represents a section through the same on the line 2 2 of Fig. 1.

major portion a'. It has two parallel edges a2 as, to which the end am is at right angles. The edges a aa are curved outward, as at a4 a5, and then inward until theymeet the straight edge a", which is parallel to the edge ct. slot 0.7, having parallel side walls and curved end walls, is formed in the swelled portion of the plate. There is another aperture a8 formed between the slot a and the inclined portion a, said aperture being substantially rectangular, except for the rcntrant projection a9, as shown in Fig. 2.
I Claim- 1he design for a fastener or clasp member,
substantially as shown and described.
