Description

rw-sez EX DESIGN.
P. BEIERMEISTER, Jr. APPAREL OOL'LAR.
7 No. 19,314. Patented Sept. 17. 1889.
WITNESSES-'- UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE,
FREDERICK BEIERMEISTER, JR, OF TROY, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR AN APPAREL-COLLAR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,314, dated September 17, 1889.
Application filed July 1'7, 1889. Serial No. 317,810- Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FREDERICK BEIERMEIS- TER, J r., residing in the city of Troy, county of Rensselaer, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Apparel-Collars, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 of the drawings is a view in perspective of my newly-designed collar ready and in form for use. Fig. 2 is a view in plan of the same collar laid out fiat.
The leading feature of my design consists of a collar provided with the ordinary but-tonholed bottom part or band and a turn-down or top part having a novel outline formed by its outer and inner edges. The outline formed by the outer edge from a point near one end to a similar point near the other end is parallel with the dividing-line which separates the parts. From such points at the ends of such parallel part the outline diverges and extends for a short distance on straight lines, forming with the parallel part similar obtuse angles. Thence it diverges on straight lines, forming acute angles with the last-mentioned diverging lines, and extends to the dividingline which separates the two parts. The outline formed by the inner edge is that of a slightly and uniformly curved line.
A is the bottom or band part, having the button-holes A.
B is the top or turn-down part, separated from the bottom part by the dividing-line B, which forms the outline of the inner edge of the top part.
C is that part of the outline formed by the outer edge of the top part, which is parallel to the dividing-line B.
C are the straight diverging lines which form the obtuse angles D with the parallel part, and O the straight diverging lines which form with the straight lines C the acute angles 1) and extend to the dividing line B.
What I claim is The design for an apparel-collar herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 15th day of July, 1889.
FREDERICK BEIERMEISTER, J It.
