DESIGN FOR A COLLAR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,699, dated October 23, 1889.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, J AMES M. Inn, of the city of Troy, county of Rensselaer, State of New York, have invented a new and useful Design for ApparelOollars for Female Wear, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to a design for an apparel-collar for female wear, and the same is shown in the accompanying drawings, forming a partof this specification, inwhichdraw lugs- Figure 1 shows a plan view of the collar laid out fiat, and same collar with the ends connected as when worn.
The parts of the collar thus illustrated are designated by letter reference and described as follows:
The letter Odesignates the collar proper, it beingshown as having downwardly and out wardly tapering ends eand angular top corners a, although, if desired, these corners may Fig. 2 showsa perspective of the be rounded off, as indicated bythe dotted lines d, without changing my designi.
The letters K designate cape-form tabs arranged on the lower edge of the collar at each end, and the letters T designate tab-form cape parts that are downwardly projected from the lower edge of the collar proper between the end tab-form parts K.

The tabfornu cape parts T have rounded lower ends and taper upwardly and inwardly on their side edges to where they attach to the bottom of the collar proper, so as to leave the uneaped parts s uponi the bottom of the collar proper.
This design fora collar is distinguished by three of the tabform cape parts arranged upon the lower edge of the collar proper between the end tab-form cape parts, K.
Havingthus described my design: for an ap parel-colla r for female wear, whatl claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- The design foran apparel-collar, consisting of the collar proper, 0, having the end cape a parts, K,with straight front edges and rounded and inwardlytapering side edges, and the tabform cape parts T, having rounded bottom edges and inwardly and nipwardly tapering side edges: arranged upon the lower edge of the collar proper, so as to leave the uncaped spaces 8, as shown and described.
