UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
f WILLIAM E. COPENI-IAVER, OF SPRINGFIELD, OHIO, ASSIGNOR TO TI-IE FOOS MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A GRlNDlNG-PLATE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,544, dated May 21, 1901. Application led April 17, 1901. Serial No. 56,325. Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom/ it Indy concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM E. COPENHA- VER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Springeld,in the county of Clark and State 5 of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Grinding-Plates, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof, wherein- Io Figure l is a plan view of a grinding-plate embodying my design; and Fig. 2 is a sectional View of the same, taken on the linexa; of Fig. l.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or I5 material feature of my design consists in a grinding-plate having a fiat body 1, bounded on opposite sides by concentric circular Inargins 2 and 3 and straight lateral edges and 5, drawn radially from the common center of zo the other two edges. Upon the upper surface of this body are three concentric ribs 6, 7, and 8 of equal height, defining two annular spaces 9 and l0. In each of these spaces there are transversely-inclined ribs 1l, joining each other in V shape, as shown, and hav- 25 ing a height equal to the height of the annular ribs, between which they extend, and into each of the V-shaped spaces thus formed there extends from the adjacent annular rib a V- shaped projection 12, havingits sides paral- 3o lel with the ribs 11, these projections being the same height as the ribs.
Having thus fully described my invention, whatI claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is- 35 The design for a grinding-plate, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses. p
