SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,902, dated November 28, 1899.
Application filed Uctobez- 30, 1899. Serial No. 735,324. Term of patent 7 years.
Be it known that I, WALTER SHAFFER, of Derby, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new Design for a Knitting-Machine (7am; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings and the letters of reference marked thereomto be a full, clear, and exact descrip tion of the same, and which said drawings constitnte part of this specification, and rcpre sent, in
Figure 1, a view in side elevation of a knit ting-machine cam containing my new design;

As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of mydesign consists of three broken or imperfect disks A, B, and C, having the same center and having their edges grooved, as at a, b, and c. The disks A and l B correspond to each other in form and are 1 correspondingly located upon the opposite sides of the broken portion of the disk 0, the said broken portion of which is formed with three faces 0, c and 0 while the broken portion of the cam A is formed with two faces a and a and the broken portion of the cam B with two corresponding feces b and 11 Having fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
