SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,722, dated May 29, 1900.

Be it known that I, MADISON D. SHIPMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at De Kalb, in the county of De Kalb and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a. new and original Design for Buttons; and I do doelare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.

My present invention relates to new and original designs in buttons.

In the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification, Figure 1 is a plan view of a button, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is an edge view of the same.

As shown in the drawings, my design consists of a series of shell-like figures having oircinato inner ends, which form a ventral polygonal figure. The shell-like figures extend outward toward the outer edge of the button, and within their enlarged portions a circle is formed. In the spaces between the curved outer ends of the shell-like figures are small angular figures, each provided with a ring.

The essential feature of this design is the central polygonal figure encircled by the outlying series of shell-like figures.

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim is- The design for a button, substantially as shown and described.
