lie it known that I, MADISON I). SIIIPMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at De Kalb, in the county of De Kalb and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Buttons; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear; and exact description oi the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.

Hy present invention relates to new and original designs in buttons.

In the accompanying drawings, which form part of this specification, Figure 1 is a plan view of a button, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a side View thereof.

As shown in the drawings, my new design consists of a series of quadrangular characters arranged on reverse curves upon the face of the button. The point of reversal of all said curves is near the center of the button. The quadrangular characters are arranged alternately to intermediate similarly-eurved spaces.

The essential feature of my new design is the quadrangular characters arranged in reverse eurves on the face of the button.

Having thus fully described my new design, what I claim is- The design for a button, substantially as shown and described.
