INVENTOR TNESSES:
ATTORNEYS UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
ALBERT S. VVAITZFELDER, OF NEV YORK, N. Y., ASSIGNORA TO THE KURSIIEEDT MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR BRAID.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,003, dated January 10, 1899.
Application filed December 5, 1898. Serial No. 698,384. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that l, ALBERT S. WAITZFEL- DER, a citizen of the United States, residing in the borough of Manhattan, city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Braids, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, wherein- Figure l is a diagrammatic side View of a portion of a braid embodying mydesign. Fig. 2 is a detail side view of the same. Fig. 3 is a detail sectional View of the same, taken on the line 3 3 of Fig. 2 and looking in the direction of the arrow in Fig. 2.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a plurality of series of loops projecting from the body of the braid, the plane of each of the loops in one series being at substantially right angles to the plane of the loops in another series.
In the drawings, A represents the body portion of the braid, from which projects a plurality of series of loops a b. The plane of each of the loops b is at substantially right angles to the plane of each of the loops a, as represented in the drawings. The loops a and b alternate, as indicated in Fig. 2, and the threads constituting these loops are partly embodied in the braid and extend around the saine, so that both faces of the braid are substantially the saine in appearance.
That I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
'lhe design for a braid, substantially as herein shown and described.
ALBERT S. VAITZFETIDER.
