DESIGN FOR A SKIRT-BINDING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No, 33,405, dated October 16, 1900.
Application filed April 24, 1900. Serial No. l4,19l- Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY A. SCHAEFER, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city of Rochester, county of Monroe, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Skirt-Binding, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
My design embodies a garment binding or trimming consisting of a strip of fabric provided upon one edge with a fringed portion resembling a brush and having an ornamenabove which is a heading b, and upon the opposite edge of the fabric is also arranged a similar heading d. Extending longitudinally through the fabric and between the lines of heading is the ornamentation, consisting ofthe portions C, arranged irregularly throughout in pairs, said pairs overlapping in opposite directions in alternate rows in the fabric and contrasting therewith to a greater or lesser degree, according to their finish, as shown.
I claim- The design for a skirt-binding, substantially as shown and described.
