SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 16,097, dated May 19, 1885.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, EDWARD MEMLEB, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design fora. Fringe-Heading, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.

Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawing, forming part of this specification, in which a face view of my new design for fringe heading is shown.

The leading feature of my design consists in a fringr-heading having a series of ornaments presenting the appearance of groups of united tufts, a space being left between each 5 group.

\Vhat 1 claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

The design .herein shown and described, the same consisting, essentially, in a fringe-heading having groups ofthree or more united tufts, producing fancy figures in the said heading, the said groups being each separated a greater or less distance from the other groups on the same heading.
