SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,089, dated May 14, 1889.
Application filed April 15, 1389. Serial H0. 307,354. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, LOUIS CLEMENCET, a citizen of the United States, residing at est Hoboken, New J ersey, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.
The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.
The accompanying photograph is a face View of a carpet showing my new design.
My design consists of the body A and the border B.
The body A is composed of a number of roseshaped flower forms disposed at intervals and surrounded by a mass of leaf forms, some fanshaped and others long and curving with serrated edges.
The border B has an inner and an outer ornamental margin, and between these a number of rose-shaped flower forms disposed at intervals, with intervening masses of leaf forms of varied outline.
\Vhat I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is"
1. A design for carpets, consisting of the body A, substantially as shown.
2. A design for carpets, consisting of the border 13, substantially as shown.
3. A design for carpets, consisting of the body A and the border B, substantially as shown.
