SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,336, dated October 1, 1889. Application filed August 19, 1889. Serial No. 321,178- Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be itknown that I, ADOLPH PETZOLD, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented a new and original Design for Rugs, of which the following is a description, referencebeing had to the accompanying photographic illustration, making a part hereof.

The leading features of my design are an elongated center piece, the outer edges of which at the sides are ornamented with figures resembling the fieur-de-lis, with scrollwork at each end coming nearly to a point. In the middle of this center piece is an ornamental scroll figure, and the ground without the center piece is ornamented at intervals with small figures at the corners and four sides.

A is the elongated center piece; B,the side figures bearing a general resemblance to the fleur-de-lis; O C, the end scroll-work; D, the middle ornamental scroll figure; EE,the side small figures; F F, the corner figures.

\Vhat I claim is- The design for arug, composed of the ornamental center figure or pieceelongated, as shown, side ornamental figures B, resembling in general outline the fleur-de-lis, end scroll- Work 0 O, middle ornament D, and side and corner ornamental figures E E F F, substantially as shown.
