[O my new design for a carpet.

This invention relates to a new ornamentation of the face of a carpet, oil-cloth, or analogous fabric.

In the accompanying photograph are rep- 1 resented the various parts which enter into my new design.

A and B are two prominent circular figures. The circular figure A contains small star-like ornaments, while the circular figure B con- 20 taius ornamenting leaves, as shown.

C is a group of three small circles, each containing fanciful ornaments.

E is a circular figure containing ornamental branches.

F is another group composed of three circular figures, each of which has central ornamentation, as shown. H is another such group, which is composed of three circular tignresof unequal size. Between these figures just named are interspersed sundry circular dots and ornaments I I, as shown.

I claim 1. The design for a carpet, the same consisting ut' the figures A, B, G, E, F, and H, substantially as shown.

2. The design for a carpet, the same consisting of the figures A, B, C, E, F, H, and I, substantially as shown.
