GLASS DISH.
No. 24,060. Patented Feb. 19, 1895 A TTOHNE).
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
ARTHUR E. OUONNOR, OF IIAVVLEY, PENNSYLVANIA, ASSIGNOR TO JOHN S. OCONNOR, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A GLASS DISH.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,060, dated February 19, 1895.
Application filed January 16, 1395. Serial No. 535,153. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ARTHUR OCONNOR, a citizen of the United States, residing at Hawley, in the county of \Vayne and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Glass Dish, such as Bowls, Shallow Dishes, &c., of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, showing a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a top plan view of a glass dish or salad bowl showing my design. Fig. 2 is a sectional view thereof, taken on the line 2-2 of Fig. 1.
The leading feature of my design consists of a central star from which radiate curved lines or grooves, each pair of which meets at points at the extreme outer edge of the dish or bowl, said curved lines intersecting at two dilferent points in their length, forming two circles or series of figures, having the shape or form of trapeziums, and an inner series of parallelograms.
Referring to the drawings A represents a star shaped figure which occupies the center of the design, from which radiate the curved lines B, which intersect each other at two different points in their length, and meet at points a at the extreme outer edge of a design. Between these points are fan shaped figures 30 b. By reason of the intersection of the curved lines 13 is formed an outer series of figures 0, having the form or outline of trapeziums and snhdivided by intersecting lines into small blocks or parallelograms as shown. An inner 35 series of figures d is also formed by theintersecting lines B which are divided into deltoidal figures and filled with cross hatching or intersecting lines. A third series of parallelograms e is also formed by the intersection 40 of the lines 13 and have therein the radiating lines f.
Having fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Design Letters Patent, is- 3 The design for a glass dish, substantially as herein shown and described.
ARTHUR E. OCONNOR.
