JOHN JACOB PFENNINGER, OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI.
DESIGN FOR A DIE FOR CUTTING DOUGH.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,532, dated June 13, 1893.
Application filed March 3, 1 893- Serial No. 464,623. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN JACOB PFEN- NINGER, a citizen of the United States, residing at St. Louis, State of Missouri, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Dies for Cutting Dough, of which the following is a. specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, showing a part thereof.
The figure represents a perspective view of the die.
The leading feature of the design is a series of circles one within the other, any one circle of the series representing a cutting edge of the die.
Referring to the drawing, 1, 2,3, and 4 represent a series of concentric circles. Of the circles designated by the numeral 1 there are four in number and they are so arranged that any one of them is described tangent to its adjacent two circles 1, the tangent points being ninety degrees apart. This arrangement results in the formation between the four tangent points of the circles 1, of a four-sided figure 5 whose sides are made up of the arcs of the four circles 1, the length of each are being ninety degrees. Within the four sided design 5 are described concentric with the cir cles 1 four smaller intersecting arcs 6 resulting in the formation of a smaller four-sided figure within the figure 5.
Having described my invention, what I claim is- The design for a die for cutting dough, substantially as set forth.
In testimony whereof I affix my siguaturein the presence of two witnesses.
JOHN JACOB PFENNINGER.
