Description

DESIGN.
A. WRIGHT.
INSULATOR.
No. 22,876. Patented Nov. 7, 1893.
WITNEEEJEE.
INS/ENTER:
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
AUGUSTUS WRIGHT, OF PROVIDENCE, RIIODE ISLAND.
DESIGN FOR AN INSULATOR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,876, dated November '7, 1893.
Application filed October 3, 1893. Serial No. 487,110. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, AUGUSTUS WRIGHT, of the city of Providence, in the county of Providence and State of Rhode Island, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Insulators, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
The drawing is a perspective view of an insulator, for electrical devices, illustrating my design.
The leading features of my new design for insulators consist in the outlines of the base, the raised circular rib centrally located, the raised corner ribs extending from the sides near the corners and meeting at points diagonally located with respect to the corners of the base, together with a perforation in the base within the central rib and other perforations within the corner ribs.
In the drawing 3 represents the base, of a suitable thickness having four equal sides and corners slightly rounded. In the center of this base is the perforation 4 and surround ing this perforation is the circular rib 5 raised from the surface of the base. Extending in ward from each of the four sides of the base near the corners of the same and practically parallel with the adjoining sides are the ribs 6-6 which are also raised from the surface of the base and meet at their inner ends forming raised stops inclosing the corner portions 77 in which are the perforations S8.
What I claim is The design forau insulatoras herein shown and described.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand.
AUGUSTUS WRIGHT. Witnesses:
