DESIGN FOR A SOLlTAlRE-GEM-SETTING FINGER-RING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,743, dated February 18, 1902.
Application filed August 7, 1901. Serial No. 71,275. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
. Be it known that I, CHARLES T. WITTSTEIN,
a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illi 5 nois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Solitaire-Gem-Setting Finger-Ring, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompa nying drawings, forming a part thereof.
10 Figure l is a view in side elevation of a ring of my new and orginal design; Fig. 2, a view in edge elevation thereof, and Fig. 3 a plan View thereof.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or :5 material feature of my design consists in the application to a close-set solitaire-gem fingerring of a rim-form bezel a and open-work 12, supporting the same, the standards or men1= bers c of said open-Work being arranged with 20 one set thereof in the plane of the ring proper and another set thereof outside the plane of said ring, the opposite sides a of said openwork, as viewed in Fig. 1, being downwardly and outwardly divergent.
Minor features of my design are diagonal z 5 intersecting perforations c 0 respectively, having curved lower walls and whose upper walls are completed by the rim-form bezel, a vertical perforation 0, whose center is in the vertical axis of the ring, cut-away corners c 0 meeting the ends of the perforations 0 c and crevices or cuts 0 at the upper portions of the standards and flanked by oppositely-curved scrolls or beads 0 Having described my invention, What I 35 claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design of a solitaire-gem-setting tinger ring, as herein shown and described.
