UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
FRANK REVERE SPRAGUE, OF NElV YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR A PORTABLE WRITING-DESK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No, 35,275, dated November 5, 1901.
Application filed August 31, 1901. Serial No. 741044. Term of patent 7 years.
' To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FRANK REVERE SPRAGUE, a citizen of the United States, residing'at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Portable lVriting-Desks, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, and in which- Figure 1 is a plan View showing my new design, and Fig. 2 is an end View thereof.
As shown in the drawings, my newly-designed writing-desk comprises a rectangular body A, formed with an approximately rectangular or octagonal panel B, approximately at the center of the rectangular body A and surrounded by a border 0, which, as shown, is approximately rectangular in form. At one side of the central panel B are arranged three rectangular panels G, the central of which is longer than the others. As seen in section, the body A is somewhat decreased in diameter in its vertically-central portion H, leaving peripheral flanges A and A above and below the same.
I have also shown in the drawings an ornamental Wreath D and an ornamental border E, the end portions of which are formed into rectangular convolutions E Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a writing-desk herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my invention I have signed my name, in presence of the subscribing witnesses, this 15th day of August, 1901.
FRANK REVERE SPRAGUE.
