JOIIN VAN VLECK, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR A CASE FOR ELECTRICAL MEASURING-INSTRUMENTS.
SPECIFICATION formingpart of Design No. 23,293, dated May 22, 1894. Application filed April 13, 1894. Serial No 507,471. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN VAN VLEoK, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Electrical Instrument-Cases, of which the following is a specification.
The drawing shows my design in perspective.
The leading and characteristic feature of my design is the general configuration of the instrument case in the form of a circular segment-or, in other words, a triangular figure having two straight sides and one curved side.
The sides of the case, one of which is shown at A, are Hat and parallel. The edge or periphery of the case is narrower in width than the side A, and has the following parts: a straight portion, B, a straight portion, C, which is at an acute angle to the straight portion B, and a curved portion, D, extending between the straight parts B and C. In the curved portion D appears a slot or opening, E.
The general conformation of the case is that of a circular segment.
I claim The design for a case for electrical measuring instruments substantially as hereinbefore shown and described.
JOHN VAN VLECK.
