UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JOHN VAN VLEOK, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR A CASE FOR ELECTRICAL MEASURING-INSTRUMENTS.
SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design No. 23,301, dated May 22, 1894.
Application filed April 13. 1894- Serial No. 507,479. Term of patent 14 years.
T0 at whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JOHN VAN VLECK, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cases for Electrical Measuring-Instruments, of which the following is a specification.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 isa perspective view and Fig. 2 is a top view of an instrument case embodying my design.
Similar letters of reference indicate like parts.
The leading and characteristic feature of my design is the configuration of the instrument case, having opposite parallel sides or faces triangular, with one of the angles rounded or curved and one of the said sides or faces being larger than the other, so that the periphery of the case between the two sides apo pears beveled or inclined.
The sides A and A of the instrument are flat and parallel; but, as shown in Fig. 2, the side A is larger than the side A. The edge of the periphery of the case is of less width than the side A, and is three-sided as shown at B, 0 and D. The side 0 is straight and is in a plane at right angles to the sides A A. The sides B and D are inclined from the side A to the side A, as shown in Fig. 2.
I claim- The design for an electrical measuring instrument case'snbstantially as herein shown and described.
JOHN VAN VLECK.
