(Application filed July 20, 1898.)
TIT.- Eb
ATTEE T INVEN TU F UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
\VILLIAM E. BYRNES, OF CLEVELAND, OHIO.
DESIGN FOR A BASIN-CLAMP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,232, dated. August 16, 1898. Application filed. July 20, 1898. Serial No. 686,470- Term ofpstent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, WILLIAM E. BYRNES, a citizen of the United States, residing in Cleveland, in the county of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Basin-C1amps,of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
In the said drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of my new design in basin-clamps. Fig. 2 is an edge elevation or view of the clamp, disclosing two projections at about its middle portion, having parallel sides-right and left, respectively-and constituting the groundwork of the novelty in the design. Fig. :3 is a plan view of the design.
As shown in the several views, the leading or material feature of my design consists of the two projections a, having straight but oppositely- inclined sides 2 and 3, respectively, terminating in an apex or point i, and the sides 2 and 3, respectively, of the two projections being parallel, but of course in diiferent planes. The said apex is traversed by an oblong opening 5, which is divided between said inclined sides 2 and 3, as shown in Figs. 1 and 3. Between these projections there is a depression or recess of substantially V shape when the design is viewed in elevation, as in Fig. 2.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a basin-clamp, substantially as herein shown and described.
\Vitness my hand to the foregoing specifi cation this 13th day of July, 1898.
W'ILLIAM E. BYRNES. Witnesses:
