(Appligation filed Feb, 8, 1901.)
Mtnesses, I Invehibr, a} 4% i W @m11@ Willem UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
FRANK E. GUDELL, OF CLEVELAND, OHIO.
DESIGN FOR A PLUMBERS TRAP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,208, dated March 12, 1901.
Application filed February 6, 1901- Serial No. 461268. Term of patent 1d years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FRANK E. CUDELL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cleveland, in the county of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Plumbers Traps, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a side elevation of the trap, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a cross-section on line 2 2 on Fig. 1.
As shown in the drawings, the leading and material feature of my design consists in the configuration of the outline of the trap, A being a straight perpendicular pipe, and B B are downwardly-extending curved branches, one, B, lying over the other, B, so as to bring the three, A, .B, and B, on the same perpendienlar plane, the object being to set the plain side of pipe A toward the front, and thereby cover or hide the branches that would thus project to the rear, and thereby present a plain straight pipe from a front view. The lower ends of the branches are connected by a return-bend O, in the bend of which is provided a draw-off opening closed with a screw cap D.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a pluinbers trap, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
FRANK E. OUDELL.
