liESlGN FOR AN UMBRELLA BAND-CLASP FASTENER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,819, dated December 20, 1898. Application filed November 25, 1898. Serial No. 897,455. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN ROSE, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for an Umbrella or Parasol Band-Clasp Fastener, of which the following is a specification.
The leading feature of my said design consists of the shape or configuration of an umbrella band-clasp fastener, as hereinafter described, and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a top or plan view of the claspfastener of the particular design of my said invention. Fig. 2 is a side elevational view of the same, and Figs. 3 and 4 are cross-sectional views on the lines mmaud y y of Fig. 1.
Referring to the drawings, A represents the clasp-fastener of the particular shape or form of my invention and consisting of the body (I, the face of which is concaved and with parallel slits or openings 1) and b on liotli sides thereof between said body and the outer peripheral slightly curved strips 0 and c. The back d of the device is truncated and has a central hole or opening d. In the main body of the clasp, adjacent to each of the corners of the device, is provided a semicircular notch or recess e between the plain surface edges f and f of the said body, as clearly illustrated in Fig. 1 of the drawings.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for an umbrella band-clasp fastener, substantially as shown and described.
