Description

D10-71. XR D 279925 EX DESIGN.
E. EPLEY.
DRESSMAKERS CHART.
No. 27,925. Patented Nov. 30, 1897.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
EMMA EPLEY, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A DRESSMAKERS CHART.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,92 5, dated November 30, 1897.
Application filed September 22, 1897. Serial No. 652,659- Term of patent 14 years.
To all whmn it may concern.-
Be it known that I, EMMA EPLEY, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Dressmakers Charts, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part hereof, in which Figure 1 is a top or plan view of the upper side of the chart, showing the particular shape or configuration of the design of my said invention; and Fig. 2 is a similar view of the reverse side of the chart, these two views being deemed essential to a proper disclosure of my said design.
The leading feature of my design consists of the particular shape or configuration of the chart and of the curved slot in the body thereof, as shown in the drawings.
Referring to the drawings, A is the body of the chart, illustrated on a small scale. The spaces on both sides along the different edges or margins indicated by numerals represent inches and subdivisions, and are designated by the letters B B.
C is a slot provided in the body of the chart of the contour and occupying the position as shown.
D represents openings at intervals provided in the chart.
E is the longitudinal straight edge or margin of the chart.
F is an end straight edge or margin opposite that of the slanting straight edge or margin G, and, as shown, of greater length than that of the latter.
II is a convex-shaped edge or margin of the chart of such form or shape from the edge or margin 1 to the opposite edge or margin G, the convexity of the edge or margin II from about the middle, as shown, increasing toward and to the point of its joining with the edge or margin G.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a dressinakers chart,as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my signature in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
EMMA EILEY.
