DESIGN FOR A WAlST-LENGTHENER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,768, dated July 9, 1901.
Application filed June 4, 1901. Serial No. 63,166. Term of patent 7 years.

Be it known that I, ELLA K. FILLING, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and originalDesign for \Vaist- Lengtheners, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part hereof, in
10 which Figure 1 is a top or plan view of a waistlengthener, illustrating my new design; and Fig. 2 is an edge view thereof.
As illustrated in the drawings, the leading 15 or material features of my design consist in the particular configuration or outline of the waist-lengthener and the surface ornamentation thereof. When viewed in plan, as illustrated in Fig. 1, the design consists of an in- 20 termediate narrow portion a, merging at each end into an irregular triangular-shaped enlargement b, the end 19 of which is inclined and meets the lower edge of the lengthener in a point 11 The intermediate narrow portion a is ornamented witha series of circular ornaments a, arranged in two courses. The triangular or pointed ends I) are ornamented with ribs b radiating or fan-shaped in plan. These ribs b as clearly illustrated in Fig. 2, project above the two surfaces of the lengthener.
